SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT is a partner of the Convergences World Forum, which is set to take place in Paris from 8-10 September 2014.
A unique occasion bringing together representatives from the public sector, the corporate world and civil society, as well as students and members of the media, the Convergences World Forum is an unmissable event focusing on the challenges of co-constructing a sustainable and fair society.
Launched in 2008, Convergences is Europe’s leading platform for reflection, intended to forge new partnerships between public players, private stakeholders and charitable organisations in order to promote the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and combat poverty and insecurity throughout the world.
This 7th edition will be focused on the theme of “Goal 2030: Building tomorrow’s world together” and will address three key themes:
- Wednesday 10 September (09.30-11.00): Speech by Jean-Louis Chaussade, Chief Executive Officer of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, during the session entitled “Challenges for an energy transition: Preserving the planet and giving access to energy for all” at Paris City Hall (Hôtel de Ville).
- Wednesday 10 September (11.15-12.45): Hélène Valade, Senior Executive Vice-President, Sustainable Development at SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, will speak at the round table: “Climate change: how to mobilise civil society and value local solutions?” co-organised by GERES and Wild Touch at Paris City Hall (Hôtel de Ville)
