BIOGRAPHY

Jean-François Cirelli, born 9 Jul, 1958, is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration; he also has a law degree. From 1985 to 1995, Mr. Cirelli held management positions at the Treasury department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, before becoming a technical advisor to the French President from 1995 to 1997, then economic advisor from 1997 to 2002. In 2002, he was appointed Deputy Director of Staff to Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin, responsible for economic, industrial and social affairs. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gaz de France from 2004 to 2008, Mr. Cirelli was appointed Vice-Chairman and President of GDF SUEZ on July 22, 2008.
