Ways to hold shares page

In France, there are two distinct forms of transferable securities: the “nominative” form and the “bearer” form.

Bearer shares

The certificates for bearer shares are held by the financial intermediary (Credit or Investment Company) and are therefore not known by the issuing company.

nominatiVe shares

There are 2 possible types:

  • The administered share: the shares are listed in the accounts of the issuing company, but are retained and managed by the shareholders’ financial intermediary;
  • The pure share: the shares are listed directly and solely in the accounts of the issuing company, which allows it to provide a personalised service.

What are the benefits of registered shares?

Being a directly or indirectly registered shareholder provides you with the following benefits:

  • Easier access to general meetings: as we recognise you as a shareholder, the notice of meeting will be sent directly to you, and you will therefore not have to accomplish any particular formalities
  • Priority access to information for shareholders who own at least 25 shares. You then automatically become a member of the Shareholders’ Club and receive all the documents and information that the company publishes for its shareholders directly.
  • Lastly, direct registration provides you with an additional benefit, since you benefit from free custody fees and attractive broking fees (0.3% ex.  VAT of the amount of the transaction, with a €10 minimum, and no bank commissions).
