SUEZ Environment and its Chinese partner New World acquire 15% of Chongqing Water Group, China


07/04/2008 - After entering into Chongqing, China’s largest municipality with 32 million inhabitants, in 2002, SUEZ Environment strengthens its relationship with its local partner, Chongqing Water Group (CWG) today through a strategic investment in the company. This transaction marks a milestone for SUEZ Environment and illustrates its strong development focus in China.

SUEZ Environment to acquire Utility Service Company Inc., United States' premier water tank maintenance services company


17/03/2008 - SUEZ Environment is to acquire Utility Service Company (USC). Based in the State of Georgia and active throughout the United States, USC is the nation’s leading company for water tank maintenance services. USC, founded in 1963, manages more that 4000 water storage tanks for more than 2000 clients and employs a staff of 250 people. Its projected revenues for 2008 are USD 120 million.

In Sweden, SUEZ Environment purchases E.On's 25% participation to hold 100% of its waste management subsidiary SITA Sverige


07/03/2008 - On March 4th, 2008, SUEZ Environment and E.ON concluded an agreement to unbundle their joint shareholdings in three Swedish companies involved in the waste market.
This agreement includes :
- The purchase by SUEZ Environment of the 25% E.ON Sverige’s participation in SITA Sverige, SUEZ Environment’s waste management subsidiary in Sweden,
- the acquisition by E.ON Sverige of SITA Sverige’s shares of 9,9% in SAKAB and 35% in Ecoplus
