A technical and scientific network

scientifique

SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT is backed by a strong, global, technical and scientific network, an essential asset for remaining on the leading edge of technology and meeting a major challenge: anticipate future challenges and offer our customers an increasingly efficient service, while at the same time protecting the environment.

This global network is based on 3 main activities:

  • technical assistance,
  • research and development,
  • knowledge management.

With 500 researchers and experts, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT is backed by:

A network of 200 testing laboratories in the waste and water business, including LABAQUA, the Agbar laboratory in Spain or SITA's Labo France Déchets.

Research and Innovation centres that are unmatched anywhere in the world, such as the CIRSEE in France, DENARD (Degrémont's North American research centre) in the US, the SWRc in China or CETaqua in Spain, all of which develop research programs making major contributions to water issues, as does the CIRADE, the Applied Research and Innovation Centre for Waste and the Environment.

International partners: SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT has entered into large-scale partnerships with universities, technical and industrial organisations such as the CEMAGREF, the GWRC (Global Water Research Coalition) or UCLA (the University of California, Los Angeles). Regular exchanges with these scientific communities provide SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT with access to new technologies, techniques and methodologies.

Setting up this kind of knowledge network allows SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT to pool resources, capitalise on resources and support development. The synergies also expand R&D efforts and contribute to our international reputation.
