Project Development

Prior to the start of a project, teams of engineers and technicians carry out the necessary studies, to prepare a technical, financial and contractual proposal. This includes modelling, sizing and estimates. With cutting-edge technology from the Group’s research centres and international partnerships, as well as the know-how developed from past experience and achievements, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT is in a position to develop projects that meet customers’ needs in an optimal manner, while also satisfying key criteria such as deadlines, costs and quality.

Engineering Project Manager
Degrémont, International Projects Department

"While searching for an internship I came across the Degrémont website and especially liked the company’s international flavour.

Today I am a Senior Engineering Project Manager. I travel all over the world: Australia, Saudi Arabia, India, Spain, Mexico, etc. The job is fast-paced, but it is great to work with people from different cultures. The professional side of things is important, but the human side is even more so.

After graduating from engineering school, I obtained a master’s in international business, which has proved to be very useful for my work. Indeed, the commercial and financial part of water treatment is key.

We receive specifications from our customers, analyse them with my team and, once customer requirements have been identified, we begin the design and technical development phase. Then come the financial and legal phases of the project. These are all duties for which a project engineer like myself is responsible on a daily basis. Because deadlines are rather tight, we need to manage priorities well".
