School partnerships
Links with higher education
School relations and trainee management are at the heart of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT’s recruitment strategy. As an international company, they contribute to developing and preparing students for professional life. This commitment is reflected in two areas: academic support and the determination to make its business activities and existing opportunities better known and understood.
Study grants and partnerships
SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT offers grants to political science students at the Paris-based Sciences Po university, as well as to students of AgroParisTech (in partnership with Tongji University, Shanghai).
Other partnerships exist with the Chair of Business Administration at the Strasbourg National School of Water Engineering and the Environment, the Chair of Sustainable Development at Sciences Po Paris, and patronage of the Processes and Environment option at the Ecole Centrale Paris.
Case studies and provision of resources
SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT and its entities propose case studies each year as a support to courses offered, and participate in various degree courses (INA P-G Paris-Grignon national institute of agronomy, ENGREF national school of rural, water and forest engineering, Paris, ESTP civil engineering school Paris, ENSEEIHT national school of electro-technical, electronic, computer and hydraulic engineering, Toulouse, civil engineering degrees etc).
International Corporate Volunteer (VIE) scheme
Young graduates are eligible to participate in a scheme whereby they can acquire a first work experience abroad: the International Corporate Volunteer (VIE) scheme. SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT and its subsidiaries offer around 50 ICVs per year, for a duration of 12 to 18 months in many countries: Spain, Morocco, Qatar, the United States, China, South Africa, Egypt and Indonesia.

Internships and Employment Target day
SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT and its French subsidiaries Lyonnaise des Eaux, SITA France, Degrémont, SAFEGE, Ondeo Industrial Solutions offer nearly 500 internships per year, both in operational functions (operations, engineering, construction, etc.) and in support functions (management, finance, purchasing, commercial, communication, legal and human resources).
All of our internships are developed and proposed from a pre-recruitment perspective. We pay particular attention to the reception and monitoring of trainees within the company. For this purpose, we organise a meeting with members of the Board of Directors and the Human Resources Department each year in September. “Objectif Emploi”, or Target Employment Day, is an opportunity to bring together trainees from SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT and its subsidiaries to help them to discover the diversity of our business lines and careers.
