PETROCHEMICALS: DANGEROUS WASTE RECOVERY

The Shanghai Chemical Industry Park groups together all the giants of the petrochemical industry. Their objective: to cut down on pollution. Apart from processing the industrial effluents of the site, the group recovers 60,000 tons of dangerous waste a year generated by industrial activity, thanks to the energy recovery unit.

FOOD and beverage: OPTIMISING EFFLUENT TREATMENT

In the United Kingdom, 90% of non-compliances at the John Smith Brewery station is ascribed to ammonia production. Two solutions were implemented by way of remedy. Since then, the unit produces multiple resources and contributes more economic power and raw materials solutions.

THE GLASS-MAKING INDUSTRY: RECYCLING BY OPTICAL SORTING

In Belgium, LAMA and SIBELCO Green Solutions designed the first plant in the world that separates the incoming flow of glass into 4 distinct grades, thanks to optical sorting: clear, green, amber and russet. 250,000 tons of glass are recycled there every year.

PETROCHEMICALS: WATER TREATMENT UNITS FOR FPSO

In Brazil, the group has supplied two vessels with four Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units. This enables Petrobras to increase its offshore production of barrels.

THE MINING INDUSTRY: ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REDUCTION

The installation of a plant to treat the effluents coming from El Teniente mine in Chile, along with its operation and maintenance contract, have made it possible to lower molybdenum concentrations in the wastewater to less than the required 1 ppm and adjust its pH. Codelco thus responds to the demands of Chilean environmental regulations.
